I never spend more than $2.00/lb on meats. When I see them on a good sale, I stock up, usually buying 20-30lbs at a time.
I can usually find:
~boneless skinless chicken breasts for between $1.49-1.99
~Ground beef or ground sirloin (no more than 15% fat) for between $1.49-1.99
~Whole chicken $0.59-0.69
~London Broil $1.77-1.99 (This is a very lean meat, I use it for grilling, stews, stirfrys, etc)
