Aspen is right actually. A lot of Wiccan beginner books out there (aka "Fluffy" books) speak of white magic, but it is purely a misconception. There is no such thing as white or black magic, instead it is what you make it. Magic can't be divided into the categories of good and evil, because on it's own magic is neutral. When a witch performs a ritual, she can either put his/her positive or negative influences into it, and the magic will adapt to it. I don't know if I'm properly explaining this right... sorry, I'm in a tizzy trying to pack and get ready for work but I had to respond to this.

ETA: Girls, you have to realize... Wicca is an ever evolving religion. In the beginning, there was quite a bit of doing white magic and all that stuff, but now many Wiccans refuse to name magic as good or evil... instead it is neutral. When I move into my new place and get my altar stuff unpacked I'll look through my books and see if I can come up with anything that explains this better.[/b]
Goodness, it was about time one of you came out of the closet to have my back. Sheesh! LOL!
