I had every intention of waiting until Lily was 4, and would have, had she not qualified for a special preschool. Lily receives therapy through our local Early Intervention program (OT, speech and behavioral), and EI ends at the age of 3. Once the children hit 3, they are transitioned into preschool that continues their therapy. If she hadn't qualified for the preschool we would have waited until she was 4 before starting it.
