Hi Everyone,
I just discovered this website, referred by a friend, so I haven't had the chance to get to know you all, but am looking forward to it! We were due on October 27th, but little Lara Elyse surprised us. My water broke on October 3rd, as I was walking to my car leaving work (thankfully not going to work...) After 24 hours of trying to induce labor, we were all feeling the strain, so Lara was born by C-section. I wasn't too disappointed, more like thrilled that she and I were both ok. Her little cord was wrapped around her neck, so I don't think she was going to come out the other way anyhow. She' beautiful, but tiny. Her birth weight was 5 pounds, 7 ounces. She dropped a little after birth, but now at 10 days old, she's 4 pounds, 15 ounces. Daddy was with us when she was born, and has proved to be a very sweet caretaker for both of us. Her feedings are going good, every 2-3 hours during the day, and 3-4 at night. What a joy!
