Emersen is turning one on Tuesday and dh and I chose to keep the party small because our 2nd dd turns 3 two weeks from Emmys birthday. We decided to make Evies birthday party big because she is now very aware and has friends to invite. We cant throw 2 big b-day parties back to back (esp because Christmas was about a month ago).
Now that Emersens b-day is basically here its too late to change but I just feel so sick inside, as if I am not celebrating her b-day enough.
Experience has taught me that 1st b-day parties are more for the parents/adults. I know she isnt going to care but each of my other dd's both had big parties......
