Oh good now I feel better.* I remember my little brother doing this.* I asked my dad about this and he didn't remember him doing it but my dad can't remember how to spell my name so I don't really count his opinion.* LOL.* I saw on another website that twenty percent of kids do this so that makes me feel a lot better.* Brandon doesn't do it when he is frustrated, he just does it sometimes.* He has different self stimulating things he does and I think this is just another one of them.

Hi I am chrissy I am new to the Group.
I have a 12 year son, he does rock in the car and in his chair at home. He does it more when he is upset or not getting his own way. Not to mention, he should grow out of it. He has been assessed for Autism but they reckon he is not Austistic. He was diagnosed with A mild developmental delay but a recent assessment has shown he is not elegible for Education Support in the school.
I understand fully how you feel, I feel fustrated as he is going into high school next year and I don't want him to be bullied. I am having difficulties getting him out of the house to go to school. Even the government departments are at a loss!!
I do hope this post do give you suppport that you are not alone.
Take care and have a lovely day
