Well, I went to my appointment this morning and my BP was 142/90 (which I thought was pretty good considering I didn't even get a chance to sit down before they called me back and took it and I had a long walk from the car to the building just moments before). The doc came in and we went over questions/concerns that have cropped up in the past week and I told her about my visit to L&D on Monday....she had no notes about it, no one had even bothered to inform her I'd been there. She had me lay down and she listened to the baby with the doppler and felt my belly for her position. Still head down!
When she had me sit up, my BP was 143/102. After I'd been laying down for about 5 minutes! It took a while for her to do the doppler & feeling for position because she was training a med student to do the same. So obviously, my BP shouldn't have risen after laying down, so she sent me into another room to have an NST done. The NST was fine; Maddie did everything she was supposed to do. They also took my BP again back there and it was 120/85. Much better, but the bottom number isn't great.
She sent me home with another 24-hour urine and orders of bedrest on my left side to keep the BP down. I did go into work to do my outprocessing paperwork (doc said that was OK as long as I didn't stay long) since I'm not returning after the baby comes. Going into work was very bittersweet. I am so glad to be gone from the crappy stuff that goes on there, but a lot of my coworkers are like family and I will miss them terribly. I will not miss commuting though, especially not when gas just hit $3.70/gallon here on the IL side of St. Louis!
If there is protein in my urine, I'll be induced at 37 or 38 weeks. 37 weeks is in one week!!! If there is no protein and my BP stays controlled by bedrest, I'll be induced at 39 weeks.
Fun way to end the pregnancy.
