Tarson - WDYT?

Hi all,
My SIL recently had a little boy and is thinking of using the name Tarson with James as a middle name.

What do you think?
Do you think he would get called Tarzan or Carson ?

She is looking for opinions so I am asking on her behalf.
Thanks.

When you don't clearly pronounce the S it does sound similar to Tarzan...and I do think when people hear it they may think his name is Carson. I am personally not a huge fan.

Living in a city where our main industry is tarsands, I hear/see that instantly. Then when I read about Tarzan I thought that. Definitely not a name I'd use.

Yes, I do think his name would be mispronounced (both accidentally and purposely) as Tarzan and Carson. I don't like the name Tarson because it looks, sounds and likely is made up.

I really dislike it. I don't like Tar- and while I didn't pick up on Tarzan right away, it is all I hear now. My first reaction was that someone wanted to use Carson, but thought it was too popular so changed it... just like all the Hayden, Jaiden, Zaiden's out there.

It does sound really close to Carson when said out loud and when I read it I did make the association w/ Tarzan.

Thanks everyone.
Those are my thoughts too, but it is not my decision.
SIL wants the name to start with "Tar" so that is how it came about.
I hope she comes up with something better for the baby's sake.
Thanks

Well, if she's set on it starting with TAR, here are some names I like better...
Taregan: I actually think this would be very handsome with the mn James!
Taran
Tarrant
