Hi everyone! My husband's name is Albert Lemoine. He is the fourth generation. I hate his name, especially when they call him Bert! My In-Law's aren't pressuring me to name the baby Albert Lemoine White V, but I wonder what everyone thinks of carrying on a name they hate. My husband doesn't care, but does anyone think it's disrespectful to his father?

I don't think it's disrespectful at all. 4 is plenty. If you still want to honor his Dad you could use Albert as one of the middle names.

I'm personally one of those people that would never name my kid to be II or the II or so on. The reason I say that is because I don't like nicknames...and in order to keep track of all the "Albert's" each one would have a different nickname.
