i'm having a little boy in may and we were set on Peyton...but i just don't like that name anymore!! its too girly! i want a real boyish name! :(
i'm just not sure what i want!
if you could give me some suggestions that would be FABULOUS!! thank you sooo much ladies!
Hope that helps!
Well, Mario means "manly". Does that work for you?
Other than that I went looking for "manly names" and basically found people's opinions ... I figured that's all I'd get so that's OK. Here are some of them.
Matthew (nn Matt sounds really manly to me)
Michael (again, nn Mike sounds manly or boyish)
Patrick (but not really nn Pat)
Jack (nn for James?)
Maxwell or Maximilian, or maybe even Maximus (nn Max is very boyish)
Or you could just go with Manley ... it's a real name from Old English that means "shared lands". Land as in hunting or camping? Sounds boyish to me. Plus the name Manley itself. Alternate spelling is Manly.
i do love the name peyton, but for a girl.
just some boy names i thought you might like: hayden, zachariah, mason, elisha, jonah, dominic, sawyer, gabriel, edwin, joseph, leonard, william, jesse, joel, maurice, cohen, adonis, davion, thomas, and zion.
Sorry if I repeat, no time to read the other names completely.
What about Clayton? It rhymes with the name you liked and Clayton (Clay) is a definite boy. Otherwise...
Alexander (Alex or Xander)
Hmm, I don't know... Peyton is seeming a little manlier since the Colts won the Superbowl, LOL. His last name even has MAN in it :)
Although I do know 2 little girls named Peyton. And having had a cross-gendered name myself (Kyle), I know this can be pretty harsh on a kid...
Peyton is one of many, many boy names that have been co-opted by girls... just think, many boy Morgans, Jordans, Taylors and Skylars are now sharing classrooms with girls of the same name. Pretty soon boys will be relegated to John, Tom and Bob. Ok, maybe not that bad...
You got a LOT of awesome suggestions and maybe you will find one you like even more than Peyton!
THANKS LADIES!! :D
I LIKEEEEEEE THEM!
I don't like Peyton at all, for either gender.
My favorite boy names are:
Griffin, Landen, Elliott, Wesley, Parker, Porter, Aidan, Kai, Jackson
