When did you begin signing to your child?

When did you start teaching your baby sign language? Was there a reason that you picked that time or age?

I began signing to Jonah at birth. This seemed like the logical thing for me to do, because I had been signing to other children for so long that it was almost like second nature to me. I seriously can't say "all done" without signing it LOL

DH started signing to him when he was a few months old. It took him a little longer to get used to the idea.

I also don't mind waiting longer for Baby to sign back. I know for some, it can be frustrating to wait, but for me it was just like waiting for the first smile or first step etc.

I began at birth. I did it to force myself to be repetitious. I also didn't want time to pass and then I think its not worth it. My family thought I was crazy but then again I am doing a lot of things unusual for my circle.

I started pretty much at birth, basically whenever it occurred to me to sign something, lol.
