and we had a very pleasant conversation about school supplies/clothes. It was odd. He even made the comment that our youngest son together reminds him of me. Which is really crazy because he has tried to pretend that I didn't exist and was not their mother when they were at his house. Part of me knows that this change is because he feels like he got his way since I decided to let the boys be at his house during the school weeks. And while that hurts my pride, I can deal with it if it means that he is going to be nice and finally respect me as their mother. It has been about 6 months since we have argued about the boys. It is really wonderful. I just hope that things continue like this.
That's fantastic to hear. It's so nice when you finally have positive conversations & it's about the kids & no longer about bitter issues. It's great when all parties are on the same page & have the best interest of the child at heart & it certainly sounds like you are BOTH doing a great job of that.
Love hearing these positive stories, we often post our bad stuff (which is normal) b/c people don't usually need to vent about good things, right? So I want to say "thank-you" for the positive notes that you've shared w/ us. It is a great attitude & a great thing to read all around.
That is awesome Alisha. My ex and I have civil conversations for the most part. He is still an idiot but we get along
I hope it stays that way for you too.
