I had my first csection.
Hello I had 5 vaginal births and unmediated labors!!! But with my last pregnancy I had to have a csection because my son was transverse. Two days before I went into labor I had an ultrasound and he was head down. But he flipped back to transverse position! When I got to hospital I was fully dilated. Nurse asked me if I had the urge to push and I said no. Thank god I said something about him being transverse. So they have me ultrasound and he was transverse. So they hurried up and gave me a csection. Was not happy about it but it had to b done. I do have numbness in my lower stomach all by my scar and around it. Is that normal?!
Re: I had my first csection.
I see no one else replied yet, and while I'm no expert, I thought I'd share my humble $0.02 :).
Yes, I'd say the numbness is very normal. I've had two c-sections---my 1st was an emergency one, and the 2nd was part of the OBGYN practices in the state I lived in at the time---getting a VBAC doctor was next to impossible due to the malpractice laws there (I kid you not) but I was a-ok as I loved my doctor, he had a great bedside manner AND my surgeries went smoothly as well as recovery.
My incision areas were numb for quite some time, and then as things began to heal, they got itchy. My son is now 5 and my daughter is 3 and my scars are almost non existent, feel normal again and all is well. COngrats on your new LO!
