What's the chance I passed it on to her?

I have sensory processing disorder. It's auditory and tactile issues..
Loud sounds are murder on my ears, screaming and too much auditory input (ex. a crowded room) bother me as well.
The tactile is the bad one though. I can't touch mud, clay, or chalk at all. Seams on my socks touching the bottom of my feet.. no way. Anything in my shoe warrants immediate removal, I tend to chew on pen caps, etc without noticing, and I have a love for anything silky. To the point where it's actually common for me to have a small piece of silky fabric in my pocket at any given moment.

However, my main question is.. What's the chance I passed it on to my DD?
So far she seems alright.. She loves to make noise, but the vacuum does freak her out. Not sure if it's from it being "Too loud" like with me, or just scary.
She's starting to get annoyed if her sock seams aren't in the right place, but she also puts socks on 24/7. If she finds a sock, she will wear it. Same with shoes.
And heaven forbid her hands get dirty or sticky.. but my sister was the same way and she doesn't have SPD
I'm just worried she'll have the same problem to deal with.
Is SPD genetic or just a random thing?
What types of signs should I look for as early warning signs?
Thanks in advance :)

well, I don't know the gentic factor of passing it on, but at her age I wonder how much is her watching mo, say things like "ooh gotta fix my sock" or "I am not touching that" and how much is her true behavior of it. I don't know just a thought.

I actually don't wear socks/shoes often because I don't go anywhere super often, but when I do I toss my socks on when she's in the living room and I'm in my room.
And I don't react with the dirt, I just don't touch it..that way there is no reaction. If she gets her hands dirty, I don't say anything. I think I'd rather her get dirty

Popping in.

My daughter has SPD which is mainly auditory and we noticed it right away. From an early age, she screams in fear when she hears one of her triggers. She is very clearly frightened and can not handle the sound. for example, if she hears grease popping from us cooking, she'll stand up screaming and throw things until it stops. This kind of behavior was evident from a very early age. She has delays and spd, but nothing that affects her behavior in any way that could possibly account for these raging tantrums, it's just her reaction to the sounds. From what we've been told, it's not a hereditary thing (and neither me or my husband have spd). she really has no textile problems, so I have no idea what to look for there.

I think whatever my son has going on is actually a direct inheritance from me with a bit of his dad's influence thrown in. He reminds me so much of a young me that it's creepy, but in a good way because I know how to get along with him. (He also reminds my biological father of me as a baby.) That being said, I am of the camp that these differences make our kids and us kind of bad-arse. *hugs*
