Ok, So I find the paper/s I want to use and the picture/s I want to use and get them all set up the way I'd like them...Then, comes the daunting task of finding just the right element.
Does anyone else have this same trouble - choosing the right elements to go with your pictures and where to place them?

If not, what do you struggle with the most?

For those of you who are really good at something that someone else is having trouble with, start another thread with that skill as your Topic Title! Then, anyone who has a good tip or pointer for that can post it there...nice, neat, and organized for all to find :)
Can't wait to hear about your troubles and skills for scrappin'! :D

I'm fairly good at the element thing (at least I think I am lol) but I am not good at big cluster pages. I can do stacking of papers and such no problem, but not straight elements. Its always been daunting to me lol

I can't think of anything I really 'struggle' with... I'm not big on journaling, but I wouldn't say it's a struggle. Just not my thing.

I think finding the right elements has to do with building your library of kits. That's what I'm trying to do right now, anyway... bulking up so I have more things to choose from when I sit down and do a page. I've left all my kits intact, but also copied all my elements into their own folder category (solid ribbon, frames, brads, journaling blocks - just to name a few categories). So if I'm looking for something (a flower for example) I just go into that folder and browse through all of them.

What I'm struggling with as a newbie digi scrapper is figuring out how to do certain techniques that I see. It took me awhile to figure out I could buy an overlay for $1.00 instead of trying to distress the edges of my photos by hand every single time. I'm sure there are tons of techniques I don't even know about. And the most frustrating thing is I'm using a program that not too many people use, so I don't even really have anyone to ask for help.

my problem is the journeling cant seem to come up with the right things to say
and just simple plain quotes....

also I have issues with trying to use random elements on a page that I am using a kit but still need something extra

I'd say journaling is also my weakest point. Sometimes it feels like all aspects are my weakest point!

That is a good idea to separate them into those folders. One of the things I love about my MAC is that I can open my HardDrive folder and type in what I'm searching for and all files with that word in the file name will pop up and show me a small picture of each.
