What have you done to prepare for your new arrival?
Well, I am only 17.5 weeks along so I haven't done a whole lot....
I have gone to the first 2 of my prenatal classes. The remaining 6 start on February 21st and will finish at the end of April....
I have been religiously reading "what to expect when expecting" and other baby-related material.......
I have been buying some unisex clothing - mainly onesies, sleepers, socks, and a few outfits.
I have a bathing set made by Johnson & Johnson...... Some pacifiers...... and a few odds and ends...
The only big stuff I have bought so far is a bassinet and a swing!
My biggest preparation was my 8 year old son! It took us 2 long months of holding it in before telling him and we made Christmas morning a very special day!
Now he just wants the baby to hurry up and come!
I haven't bought squat except for 1 3-pack of onesies and a set of cheap 3 for $1.00 bibs.
I was 16 wks pregnant when I had my last m/c so I've been very scared to buy anything. Now that I'm past that stage, I guess I should start shopping around.
It's so OVERWHELMING! There's so much to choose from and even though I make a decent living, it just seems impossibly expensive, too. I just can't seem to get into it because I'm so afraid that I'll have to give it all away anyways.
I've been reading baby magazines but have not read "what to expect when youre expecting" I know its a good book and I read it from cover to cover when my oldest was inside me (almost 18 yrs ago) but I got so sick of it I can't stand to look at it (even after all these years). Also, I sometimes wonder, with the changes in the world today, if that book is really up to date since it's the same crap I read 18 yrs ago.
Sorry for being so negative...I have a stinking cold and I'm miserable while at work!
I love my 3 girls and little boy:
Mom to Jessica - 19 yrs old, Amber - 18 yrs old, Sebastian - 2 months
ive bought a pack and play, a stroller carseat combo( very cheap at a yard sale) and a whole bunch of clothes (i cant help it) i have bought all little red sox and patriots outfits too....sooo cute lol

~Having a baby on my chest being serenaded by my beating heart is nothing short of amazing...~
Hmm, well I guess I have been just playing the sitting around and waiting game. Hopefully I will beable to start working soon and put money away for when my baby is born. I am working on getting a new veichle since I sold my other car. I have bought a few cute outfits. I pretty much have all the baby equipment. I guess I am getting around to working on the financial issues for having a baby. Oh yeah and thinking about where I want to live once baby is born and settled. Thats about it...
