As a lifelong dancer of all kinds...I say dance. If your body is used to the activity and exercise, it should be fine for a while. Double check with your doctor, and if your OB doesn't have a problem....then DANCE! I am extremely active right now through mine...heck, Ididn't even know I was and I'm about 5 mos along. If your body is used to the activity, it's usually not a problem at all!! If you were to jump into all that activity suddenly it could be...but your body is used to it...do what your used to...your body will tell you when you can't anymore!!

i went to a performing arts middle and high school...and my dance teacher got pregnant when i was in middle school and danced up until she was 8 months...she showed us performances she was in she was rolling on the floor and all u could see was this one dancer with this big belly.....and one of our basketball players played until she was 5 months preggo. i think it's fine as long as the doctors say it's ok

Yeah, just double check with your OB (always a good thing to do )...and then go for it. I've been dancing since I was three, too...and not much makes me give it up. My dance teacher set a great example dancing and teaching until she (literally) went into labor. Honestly, IMHO if your body is used to all of that activity, it would be worse for you and your body to sit around all day...besides...like I said, if your body needs the rest - it will let you know. You are NOT a bad mom for wantign to dance. It's exercise and exercise can lead to an easier labor - which is better for you AND baby (just find an article on this and show it to your family)!!! If I can find an article on this, I'll send it your way
