Unfortunatly, I smoke cigs....Do you think that quitting with the gum would be okay?

My son was unplanned too. I had to quit smoking. Its hard but you HAVE to do it. Its best for you and baby. Do whatever you can do to stop and sooner is better than later.

the gum is safer than the cigs...talk to your dr I am sure they can help & maybe with a product covered by your insurance...smoking is so bad for pregnant women

I would ask your doc if the gum is ok- it can also be dangerous to quit cold turkey... They (most docs) recommend that you slowly wean yourself off over a week or so...

Best of luck- I had to quit when I got pregnant so I know how hard it is!

I also quit smoking when I became pregnant with my 1st. Check with your dr. and try regular gum. It helped DH alot....he used to chew tobacco! Yech!
