I was way more nervous to tell my parents! in fact I hid it from them for a couple months.. but the longer i waited the worse it got! and when i did tell them they were extremely supportive and happy. So my advice is to tell your parents don't wait the longer you wait the worse it gets and then they wonder why you waited so long to tell them. I know its scary but it has to be done!
I was more nervous about telling my SO. My relationship with my parents was rocky at the best of times so I didn't care about how they would take the news. I did care about Mack's reaction and was irrationally afraid of the possibility he'd be cross, or maybe panic and flee. It took me a whole week to build up courage.
