Ugh, we are having my s/o's family over for dinner, the only person from my family that cam come is my dad, which I am so excited for! My mom, step dad and little sister are about 2 hours North from here and the weather is going to be crummy, so they can't make it, plus my step dad has to work on T day. I'm a little nervous because my boyfriends family is becoming a bunch of crazies, his mom is a control freak who has to critique everything and put her snotty two cents into EVERYTHING, she does everything better than you could ever do. . .lol his dad is a push over and I feel really bad for him and my boyfriend has three sisters, two of which can make it, and the two that are going to make it are 15 and 16 and all they do is read books. My dad is the only person who I think I will be having the most fun with. . .lol
It's more like a pot luck, all of the traditional things. . .I bought a 19 pound turkey, going to make stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, a pumpkin pie, apple pie, and chocolate cream pie and we are buying one bottle of martenellies sparkling cider and my boyfriends family is bringing whatever they want to. . .lol
Atleast you will have your dad there to make it fun for you
We don't have any plans yet for sure. Last year, we went to SO's parents house for thanksgiving. But we have dinner over there all the time, so it was really chilled and layed back with all his brothers, and nieces and nephews there.
We might do that again unless my family invites us for thanksgiving. Then we might take the bus to maryland or virginia to visit my side of the family (which most of them SO hasn't met yet, including my mom). But i am going to have to convince SO to go with me. I really have a feeling he doesn't want to.
