Stolen from my ddc, but i thought it was a really good question.
My aunt is the closest family and she is about 3 hours away. the rest of my family is 5+ hours away and all in different states. No close family on my side. SO's family lives in the same city less than 15 minutes away. The have been lifesavers for us. I can't imagine what we would do if they weren't here for us and helping with this pregnancy. It's the reason why moving out of state now is not an option.
How far away does your family live? What about SO/DH's family? If you have family close by, how important is it that you stay close to them?
My parents live about a 15 minute drive away, and the rest of my family is scattered around ranging from 5-30 mins drive away. I don't have a partner and neither Wyatt nor this babies Father are involved in our lives, same with their families. I really want my kids to have their Grandparents and Uncles/Aunts in their life.
They all live close Well, my dad lives in Florida 6 months out of the year, & we're up in Nova Scotia, so that's farrr. My mom lives 15 minutes away, my dad when he's here lives 10 minutes away, my sister lives 5 minutes away & all my aunts & uncles live around that same distance to! Same with my grandparents, cousins, etc...
So, we're all close in range, & see each other often! It's nice, I wouldn't want it any other way !
