Hello! I'm new to this whole board thing, but I was wanting some info on a Laparoscopy. I have been ttc for 4 years now, I've had every test done and everything is good to go. My periods are not always right. I bleed lightly for about 2 weeks. I use to hurt very bad, but this past year I've not had much pain or none at all. My husband has had a SA, and in the doctor's words, "He's a stud, no problem there!". I have taken Ovulation tests everyday and found out I'm ovulating while I am bleeding... Go figure... But my doctor would like to do a Laparoscopy and run dye through my tubes to see if there are any blockages... I've read other places where women get this done, and they get prego almost right away. Has anyone else had this? What is the process (in your words) I would rather read about experience than a medical site about the way things are done. What about recovery time? I am really trying to stay positive, but it seems like every month gets harder and harder to stay positive...
You might get better responses on the Trying to Conceive board. As for the laparoscopy, I've a few done, but for different reasons. It's not too terrible and it took me a couple of weeks to recover, but I'm not sure if it was just the laparoscopy or that I ended up having an appendectomy.
