Well I had my first appointment today. My estimated due date is as I thought, 24th December 2005. I've got an ultrasound scheduled for the 9th May and I also had a blood test today, and have to send off a urine sample.
Supposedly there's more tests to go. Joy. Hopefully not too many more blood tests. I don't like needles, and there's only so many times you can stand having a blood test, ya know.
Okay, well I think that's about it.
Oh, I told my mother over the phone. She was at work, and Rhyce was in a dire need to leave. I'm waiting for the 'I wish you'd consider an abortion' speech when she get's home. Not they whatever they say is going to make much difference, as I'm having this baby.
I am so glad everything went well! I hated the blood tests, too... So exactly how far along are you? Cool due date, also! How old are you?? I got the same speech, not from my mother, but from my grandparents.... But now they are very happy for me and love to feel on my stomach! Good luck!
I'm 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant, and it still doesn't feel real. Mainly cause I feel fine. The only symptom that lead me to believe I was pregnant in the first place was a missed period.
I'm 21 years old, and my parents actually took the news okay. No 'I wish you'd consider an abortion' speech, thank goodness. I think my dad's a little worried that I am actually pregnant. But then my mother miscarried a baby early on in her pregnancy, before she went on to have me, so maybe that's why.
We tell my grandparents on mother's day. Which should be interesting.
It wonderful that your parents took the news ok. I'm sure as the time goes on that they will become more supportive and excited. My parents were pretty shocked when I told them I was pregnant (I was 22 at the time) but as the pregnancy went on they got so excited and now they cant get enough of their little grandbaby
my dad was the 1st person in my family that i told, and he was so excited. my mom was really happy as well. this is going to be grandchild #6 for them so they know the drill!!! my sister was 16 when she had my nephew. i'm 23 so it wasn't as bad for them to hear. i think what made them happy was that 1. i wasn't planning on having kids and 2. we weren't even sure if i could even have them so it's really making them happy.
Well, Welcome to JM and congrats. I'm glad that your parents took everything okay. Let us know how your grandparents took it. So are you with the BD or no? Sorry if you already posted, but I just got back from taking a week off from JM to get some things done, so I'm kinda lost!!
