Hi all,
I'm a mom of two kids, ages 14 (today) and 6 next month. I am 36.

I have to ask what is probably a dumb question! I started having hot flashes earlier this year, about once a day and sometimes at night. We have still been using birth control. However....I am 6 days late where I am usually consistent (despite the hot flashes). Also, I am feeling really really queasy today although this never happened with my other pregnancies. Could I be pregnant? Should I be buying a test here? Or is this more likely to be more of the premenopause thing? Opinions welcomed!

I dont know about menapause so i dont know if I could help you there. One way to find out is to test. 36 seems like a little young to me to start menapause but what do i know..lol.

Hmm, I don't know anything about menopause either, so I would say go ahead and test.

Yes, it could be a sign of pregnancy. It could also be a sign of peri-menopause, which can start as early as 10 years before actual menopause. Any idea what age your mother was when she began to change?

My mom had me when she was 42. She's always told me she believed I was menopause! SURPRISE!

I hope it works out how you want it to! Keep us updated!

Yep, it could be either one. It sounds exactly like what my step-mother went through earlier this year as she started "the change" (that's what she calls menopause). The only way to know is to test. Good luck with whatever results you're hoping for!
