I know this has already been asked before, but since we have a lot of new members I thought I would ask what method of prevention (birth control pills, shots, pull and pray, etc.) you were using when you became pregnant. I'm getting back on Depo-provera shots after I have my DD so I was just wondering what the stats were on the affectiveness on the different methods. I had just switched from shots to the pill when I got pregnant.

Sometimes condoms, pull-n-pray when not. So, my theory is, pull out method = Elisabeth!

The patch.

I also know 2 people who got PG on IUD's. My cousin, who used the pull and prey method for 6 years, got PG the first time they TTC.

So, in my opinion, Birth control is complete Bunk!

I wasn't using any because it took 2 years of fertility treatments to get pg with DD (I had been told we couldn't concieve naturally and we had tried) and I was nursing so I didn't have my AF. I was 15 weeks along before we figured it out.

First time it was either the patch or the shot. I had switched somewhere around the time I got pregnant. Second time I was on the pill. Third time it was with my IUD but the pregnancy never progressed past 5 or 6 weeks. I think I get pregnant every time I sneeze. LOL.

I've actually heard that Alesse is really bad! I know of like 5 girls who have gotten pregnant off of it
I was using pull-n-pray...apparently I didn't pray hard enough!

Someone should have told me that a year ago I think I'm going to ask my doc about other options after. At first I'll only be on the mini pill (assuming BF works out), but after that I'll be looking into another pill

I'm going on the mini pill too while I'm BFing, but after that I'm going to be taking Seasonale....I've heard nothing but good things about it, and you only have your period every 3 months!
