For me it was learning so many things about pregnancy. If I had been TTC then I would have read up about syptoms and different stages of pregnancy and what not. But since it was happening so fast I would just get on the computer and look up or google anything I could think of.

Just let me say that I didn't think I was maternal...AT ALL! Little kids used to make me nervous, and I used to get very impatient. When I found out I was pregnant(VERY UNPLANNED)...I started to enjoy being around kids. And its so amazing having a lil person living inside of you(sometimes its a little ROUGH, but mostly very awesome)Plus the pregnancy has brought my b/f and I so much closer. I'm very happy now that I got pregnant when I did...

I think with this one it helped me to realize how much I miss the baby stage and how much I wanted another one.

Probably the best thing about the unplanned part is not having to agree w/ the SO about being "ready" or not ready to have a kid. If it was up to him, we would be waiting until we were retired because he thinks you should be making a crap load of money to have kids. It's true that they're expensive, but when it's unplanned, things just have their own way of working out! That's the best part in my opinion! We didn't have to agree on a good time to have one, she is just coming and there's nothing either one of us can do but get ready as best we can! I am a go w/ the flow type of person, so I'm okay with that, but he is freaking over the money issue, and so cute that he's worrying about his little girl ALREADY... Plus he's scared that something bad will happen to me because of the pregnancy (even though nothing has YET... knock on wood!) So, it's been interesting, but the uncertainty of everything is definitely the best part, looking back!

I also didn't consider myself maternal.. I had done my fair share of babysitting and didn't think i would ever want kids. Now I want more and more!!!! Having our daughter made me fall in love with Dh all over again, plus I never knew how much I could love another human being.
