I know this girl that is not all there, she was in a drowning accident and it caused some brain damage. They are going to take her daughter away from her, as she cannot fully take care of her. She has to to contest the case before they close it. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? She thought of a group home for that kind of thing, or what if she could get someone to come in and help her? Are there any laws about this stuff that any of you know about? Her hearing is on June 2....anyone????????? Thanks Ladies.

I don't know anything about the laws, but maybe you could go on Google and try to look some things up. If she's not able to care for her child, then maybe she could get someone to help her out, but it would be an awful hard case to plead. I think she's going to have a hard time with this one, sorry to say. Sometimes these things are unfortunate. Maybe she could ask for some time to prove that she can care for her baby? Like, even if it's monitored time? I don't know how the system works as far as that goes, but I wish her the best. The only thing that you can probably do is just be there for her. Does she have any family members that would be willing to adopt the child to keep it in the family?? Usually they open the adoption to family first. Anyways, I hope it works out.

I dont know what will happen, but I sure hope for her sake that she will have some time with her baby. Its so sad, because it was an accident...its not like she is on drugs or something. Well, thanks. Hopefully she'll find something.

where is the dad? does she have any family? I know some people set up arrangements to live with someone else and that other person helps with the child's care.
