How many of you have found out the baby's sex or are planning to? And for those that did find out, what sex did you want to have and what sex did you wind up getting? If they were different, were you at all disappointed?
I found out the sex of my little girl. I hate surprises, so I just had to know. I was pretty sure that I was having a girl, even though DH and my mom REALLY were hoping for a boy, I just had a feeling it was a girl. I didn't really care which sex I got as long as the baby was healthy. Now that I know it's a girl, sometimes I do wish I was having a boy, because I am always afraid that my girl is going to grow up to hate me, plus, I would REALLY like to have a momma's boy!
We can't find out the baby's gender for quite a while. I was looking on my pregnancy calander to see when we could, but it isn't listed, so I guess I'll have to ask my doctor next month (we're going to hear the heartbeat then! I am sad because I want to go next week to hear the heartbeat, but the doctor won't see me.. we went this past friday and she told me "Next week we would be able to hear the heart, but you'll have to wait four weeks" grrrr... anyway)
I want to know the gender because I don't want everything to be yellow and green with ducks on it... I'd rather know ahead of time to prepare. My husband also wants to know because he wants a boy really badly, and he just can't wait a full nine months to find out!
I found out at 17 weeks that we are having a boy. I reallllllly wanted a girl and felt horrible for being disappointed at first. My fiance is thrilled to be having a son, and now I'm very happy about it was well! The only thing I'll miss is being able to pick out the adorable little dresses... I'm definitely a girly-girl, and would love to have a daughter to dress up! But as my fiance says, there's always next time.
Well considering I have 3 sisters and no brothers I was hoping for a little boy...I found out when I was 17 weeks and I figured that since I wanted a little boy so bad that he would be a girl so when she told me he was a boy I was soooo excited I started crying! I would've been happy with whatever gender God gave me but am overjoyed with a boy!
We found out--DH and I couldn't wait. The tech said 75% girl while DH and I were really expecting a boy. Honestly I was disappointed at first because I know DH REALLY wanted a boy, and I just wanted the pressure of having a boy our of the way before we have our second. We are both glad to just have a healthy baby.
