I have a question regarding WIC. The income eligibility for one is like $364 a week, is that before or after taxes? I am paid weekly and After taxes I make around $320 a week..but with bills that I HAVE to pay [ie: car/car insurance,& more] it doesn't last long- and I wanted to try to get on WIC to help out..but if it's before taxes then I would be over the eligibility. I'm pretty clueless on how WIC works, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out a bit!

The WIC income guidelines are based on your Gross(before tax) income.

I'm assuming your pregnant? Even if you don't qualify now as 1, you should qualify after the baby is born as a 2, assuming you don't get a raise or anything in the meantime. The income guidelines for 2 goes up to $400 and something a week.

Good luck!

If you are pregnant they count you as being 2 people. I roughly make after taxes $350 a week and quilified for WIC when I was preggo, but they base it on your before taxes pay. and before Taxes I make about $450 a week.......WIC will help you. Period. Go get started ASAP!

do u get medicaid-- state health care? if u do u can just bring in ur insurance card when u go to ur first apointment. --u call ur county's wic office, set appointment --u should do all the information over the phone. schedule ur appointment. at ur appointment bring ur health insurance card( medicaid paper) and probably proof of pregnancy- if u are preggo.if u ahve a baby bring the baby and u get weighed and ur iron checked and they go from there. wic only pays for milk, cheese, carrots, peas, peanut butter and cereal, and juice and eggs....

You should qualify but just so you know when when i went to go get assistance (wic, medicaid and now fs cause every lil bit helps) they didn't count my car payment, insurance or even my cell phone in my bills... all they counted was rent, lights, water, manditory stuff... And apparently a car and phone aren't manditory... even tho I wouldn't have a job without my car and phone... lol...
