welcome to JM and congrats! Sounds like everything you are feeling is normal. Start taking prenatal vitamins if you havent already. You can get them any place that sells vitamins. I dont know if the xray would be a problem that early in the pregnancy but make sure you tell your dr when you go in for your appt.

good luck!

Welcome and congrats!!! I hope everythings is okay with your baby! I'm not sure how an X-ray would affect him/her. That's what your doctor is for, I guess. lol

Welcome, you think you're young I'm 16 and having a baby. I was in a car accident when I was 6 weeks pregnant and everything's fine with the baby. As long as your stomach wasn't really damaged everything should be fine. It takes a lot of force to hurt a baby that early on since the uterus is very thick. I thought I was goin to have my period because I was having what I thought were cramps and backaches but turns out it's stretching pains which you will have throughout your pregnancy. Around 6 weeks of it I started getting bad morning sickness, hope to God you don't get it. I've never heard of X-Rays being damaging to a baby though, whenever you go to your doctor just ask them, they should know. Good luck with everything!

Hi hon! I was also on tri cyclen when I got pregannt. I'd had an infected cold and was on amoxocillin and OOPS ! Also, I wouldn't worry too much about the car accident. I atually went on roller costers before I found out I was pregnant. My doc told me that I would have had a miscariage if it affected my pregnancy and now my baby is almost 3 months!!!

Good luck and keep us posted!

I too was in a car accident early on. I was severely injured by the seat belt in my vehicle, but had I not had it on, I wouldn't be typing this today. While I was in the hospital I discovered I was pregnant. That will stress you out even worse than the accident! It is my 5th child! Anyhow, the E.R. doc told me to see an OB as soon as possible because an accident so severe could cause a miscarriage. I had already had tons of ex-rays in the E.R. before we knew about being pregnant.

So, the good news for you is...I am now 22 weeks pregnant, the ex-rays did absolutely no harm whatsoever, and the OB doctor told me that babies are extremely protected when you are in the early stages. There should be absolutely no worry. My abdomen was purple all the way across...almost blood blisters. And the baby is fine. Had an ultrasound last week and "SHE" is doing perfect.

And also, my 3rd baby was conceived on the ortho-tricylene pill. He is a perfectly healthy 6 year old. I wouldn't worry about that either.

Good luck!

Uhh.. yeah. Hi! I'm fairly new here, too. And my name's also Sarah. I doubt the baby will have been harmed if it was that early. I guess you shouldn't have any doubts if you've taken all those tests, lol! Just get in to see an OB asap. Good luck! My first appointment is Wednesday morning. I'm not as stressed out, for some reason, though. It's bad to get too stressed, so keep that in mind.
