I am going to try to get by with as little help as possible.
Hopefully bf will be able to take a week or so off work, I highly doubt it though [/b]
i said that too. but babies are so much more hard work than i thought.
Its hard to even find time to shower or go to the toilet. i am so lucky to live with my mom and sister who are AMAZING with jake and have really helped me out.
i thought my mom would be interfering and telling me i'm doing it wrong, but she's just been really supportive and she respects my decisions about my son.
I agree with Nikki that I hope to do it on my own. I want to breastfeed and my dad already tried to talk me out of it, so that will be a major thing because he lives with me, but is only here really at night, so I hope I don't give in when I'm all sleep deprived and he offers to give the baby a bottle. I'm not getting any formula just in case! Although I do have some bottles already because eventually I will have to pump when I go back to work.
I've taken care of newborns before and they usually sleep alot, LOL, so hopefully Caden will be like that and let mommy get some sleep and take showers every couple days, ha ha!

i really wanted to breastfeed to but its not working. jake is rejecting the breast so i have to pump, but he's also a really hungry baby so my milk isnt enough. i've had to give him formula when he was screaming with hunger and wouldnt take the breast. at 3am i was really glad i had some back up formula.
breastfeeding doesnt always work the way you want it to.
You ladies are making me have flashbacks to when I brought Briana home! All the sleepless night, etc! My boyfriend was here for 3 weeks before he had to go back on the road. So on occasion my mom would come over to help me out, or even my neighbor just so I could shower!
You'll begin to learn lots of little tricks to get done what you need to do. One thing I used to do with Briana was let her sleep in the bathroom while I was taking a shower. Her tub had a hammock for newborns, so I would swaddle her and lay her in her tub, that way I could freshen up for longer periods of time and she was entertained by watching mommy.
