Well, little Miss Elizabeth had her two month appointment yesterday and let me tell you the fun never ends!
We can start with the stats. My little porker weighed in at 9lbs 10.5oz! That means she has gained 5 pounds since she was born and I can tell because she is heavy to hold! She has also grown to 21 3/4 inches that is up from 16.5 when she was born. Her head is just above 15 inches though I am not sure what it was when she was born because no one told me and I didn't think to ask. So all in all she has now made it into the 25th percentile which is super cool because she wasn't even on the charts at her first appointment!
Elizabeth also rec'd 3 shots and an oral immunization; DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus and Whooping Cough), HIB, Hep B and Prevnar. I didn't cry when she got the shots this time. I think it was the doctor. The one we saw yesterday was amazing but I will get to that next. Elizabeth's face during the shots was priceless! She is such a little trooper. After the first shot her mouth flew open and she sucked in all the air she could and held her breath. As soon as she realized the shots were done she let out an ear piercing scream that went on for like 10 seconds and that was it or so I thought. She went right to sleep after and didn't do much fussing until her 6pm scream fest after which she passed out again. I think she only woke up to eat once last night which would have been nice but I couldn't put her down. She made me hold her all night. I could tell her little legs were sore from the shots and I felt so bad. Anyway, she is still doing all this sleeping but at least she let me lay her down. She still isn't eating much though...she at at 7am for about 5 mins and then again at 10am for about 5 mins after I worked with her to latch on. I hope she eats better soon or I will have to worry. (she doesn't have a fever...i checked)
So, I LOVE this doctor we saw yesterday. She was so great with Elizabeth and she was even better with me and Marko. Marko has been really bugging me about this belly button hernia, he swears that when she is screaming at night that it is because her belly button hurts and I keep telling him it isn't. Anyway, the doctor really explained the hernia to us and showed Marko and let him feel how big the hole is. She told him what to look for incase he thinks something is really wrong with it and she needs to be seen and also explained the course of action if it doesn't heal itself. After she explained everything to him (everything I already told him) you could tell he felt better about the situation and I hope he can stop obsessing over it now.
Alrighty on to the pictures...only two I swear. One is from July 4th when she was only 9 days old and the other is from today 9 weeks and 3 days. I can't believe how much she has grown. I am not ready for her to sleep in her crib but she is getting a little big for the cosleeper.
