Hi, I have a three year old little girl and am now expecting again. I am concerned because I took the morning after pill, I am worried about my baby, I would never want to harm it. I simply wanted to prevent pregnancy not harm one. Anyway I was wondering if anyone was in the same situation as I am. My doctors appt. is not until Oct 11. I told them on the phone and they sent me for a blood test and that was all. I am just worried sick and wondered if anyone in the same situation had gotten any information from thier doctor. Thanks so much
I haven't been in this situation but I work in a pharmacy as a pharmacy tech. The morning after pill is just a higher dose of regular birth control pills. One pill is like taking 7 of the regular pills. A lot of people take birth control without realizing that they are preg. and they have perfectly healthy babies. Sorry that I can't help you anymore than that but I do have a friend that didn't find out she was preg until she was 5 months (she got her period the whole time). She was on birth control also during that time.
People have smoked pot, drank alcohol, and done crack during their pregnancies and their babies have still lived. There's probably been a lot of people who have taken it, remained pregnant, and their babies have turned out just fine. Don't stress about it because that could hurt the baby. Just take your prenatal vitamins. Good luck with everything and congrats on the new baby!
