Just out of curiosity, can you still get pregnant with a Mirena IUD in? If it has been in for two months?
If a woman were to get pregnant with an IUD in, what would that mean for the baby?

Thank you...[/b]

It is possible slim but possible. I hve know soeone who had gotten pregnent with an IUD. I don't know what it would mean for the baby though the only thing I have heard of is that there could be a possibility of the IUD somehow getting stuck to the fetus. HTH

Yes, ma'am. It is possible. I've known several patients that has happened to. Even the OB I used to work for! She had to have it removed early in her pg & her baby was born on time and in good health. There was even a case where a doc delivered a baby with the IUD in its hand! They can cause a higher chance for an ectopic pg & other complications.

Yep, you can. My sister-in-law just had her little boy a few months ago. who was born with the IUD in his little fist. He's completely healthy and so is she.
