I start my temp job on Tuesday... it sucks because I thought I had another week... Then next Sunday I leave town for a week for the reserve. Not looking forward to it either

Oh yeah... My baby was just diagnose with hemihyperplasia. i don't recall if I told you ladies but Preston left leg is short about 1.5 inches and its getting worse and then his eye on the left side is a little smaller. He just had more bloodwork done and he will have an abdominal ultrasound again on the 5th that hubby has to take him too.

My vent is about my coworker who never covers her mouth when she coughs or sneezes and whenever I have to touch something of hers I immediately feel the need to sanitize myself. She never washes her hands after using the bathroom. She leaves tracks on the toilet seat. She never cleans out the milk frother on the coffee maker. She throws food scraps in the office trash cans instead of the one in the breakroom so we have to smell rotting banana peels, etc. until someone empties it. UGH I could go on.

I interviewed for a job at the school I taught at this year teaching the same stuff I taught this year (so my job, I interviewed for my job) today. And he made it sound like there were some really great candidates (in other words I'm interviewing for my own job and I might not get it) and it really upset me...I may get it, there may be no need to be upset, but the whole situation just seems so unfair.

that does seem real unfair.. was your job just temporary then? you thought you would get first refusal of the job if it was yours in the first place.

It can also affect the organs and also have other issue such as cancer so he has to be screened with ultrasound to make sure nothing else is wrong. His left leg is about 1.5 inches shorter (might be worse now, last xray was a few months ago) and his left side of his face is kind of affected too. I can tell by his left eye is smaller.
Definition

Hemihypertrophy, more correctly termed hemihyperplasia, is defined as the enlargement of one side of the body or part of the body.
Description

Hemihypertrophy is characterized by unequal (asymmetric) growth of the cranium, face, trunk, limbs, and/or digits. Hemihypertrophy can be an isolated finding, or it can be associated with certain malformation syndromes. Isolated hemihypertrophy refers to hemihypertrophy for which no cause can be found. The degree of asymmetry is variable and very mild cases can go undiagnosed. There are three categories of hemihyper-trophy, depending on the body parts involved. The size difference can involve only a specific part of the body

Thanks. I'm hoping that the ultrasound doesn't show anything. I believe he will need more ultrasound just to confirm we have nothing to worry about.

He will need surgery in the near future for his leg. Nothing planned yet but since it is getting worse, we know it will happen. Right now when he tries to run with out his shoelift on, he is swing the short leg.
