Do your views on abortion match the official doctrines of your religion?

I would also like to talk about how people feel about what their religions talk about this subject and how they feel about going against doctrine or with it. is there anyone who reads the doctrine and finds reason to go against it?

Sorry, I was not sure if this should go here or in religious debate section.

I am Catholic (not currently practicing) and I am pro-choice, so my beliefs definitely go against the doctrine of my church. In fact, MANY of my beliefs go against the doctrine of my church, which is why I'm not a practicing Catholic.

Me too. Catholic, non practicing. I do go to church occasionally, but not enough to call it "practicing". I am pro-choice, pro-live together before marriage, pro-premarital sex....definitely NOT the "perfect Catholic girl"!

My religion doesnt really have anything to do with my pro-life beliefs.

I have to say my spiritual beliefs very much have to do with being pro-life.

My religion stays out of the abortion debate and has nothing to do with my beliefs on abortion.

If there are gods, and they are forgiving, I believe from the bottom of my heart they understand ~ they have the understanding, compassion and empathy to know why abortion happens.
