Your thoughts? I'm sure you all know my feelings on this issue by now.

The most interesting tidbit i saw in that article is that he wants to redefine that pregnancy begins at fertilization instead of implantation. If he wants to ban abortion from that point on, wouldn't that make hormonal BC illegal as well? (as they prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus)???
Anyways, I am PL as can be and am encouraged by the apparent resurgence lately in the possible consideration of the unborn childs' rights, but can't see this actually gettting passed. I would be tremendously shocked.

It won't be passed... Colorado has swung blue lately, and our governor is a Democrat. He may be pro-life but he supports a woman's right to choose.

I just wish people would use their efforts to create and lobby these bills to really examine why abortion is a problem.. If they put that energy into education, help with raising kids, social programs, support to single moms to be, they would find more women likely wouldn't have an abortion to begin with.

The republican controlled congress recently shot down the Teen Pregnancy Education Act and the Unintended Pregnancy Amendment (easy google will get you the low down on them, but basically they were all about education, equal perscription coverage, and contraception funding)

Back to politics.. I wish people took politics and agendas more seriously so our politicians weren't working on wasted efforts meant to enrich our life.
