I always wonder how that happens. I guess this is my answer:

The 420-pound woman said her size kept her and others from realizing she was carrying the baby.[/b]

I don't understand... didn't she still miss her period? And was she using BC this whole time because she thought she wasn't pregnant?

I've always wondered this too.

From my understanding when your that overweight [420 pounds my guess is pre-preg she was in the 300 pound range], you have increased changes for diabetes, reproductive issues such as irregualar periods, trouble concieving, etc. And so many more things...

My guess is that due to her weight her period was messed up, and therefor it wasn't uncommon to miss a period, or simply not have one for months at a time.
