Thanks to Anne (Greechild) for explaining how she Hand Expresses.
Do one side at a time (obviously ) start with your hand fully open/flat, place it against your side (before the breast swell), thumb upward towards your head, pointer finger pointing down your side.
Push in with the part of your palm between your thumb and pointer while bringing these two fingers together as you slowly move towards the nipple. This should get you a good spray, aim the milk into your container. Repeat.
It may take several minutes of doing this to get a letdown but when you do, watch out! The milk will come out fast and furious with this method. Keep repeating the motion until no more milk comes out.
Then, put your hand in almost the same starting position but place your thumb lower and press in only using your thumb and dig in while sliding upward towards the nipple. do that a few times in different spots and then do the regular motion. This will help empty the breast as fully as possible.
Make sure you have lots of paper towels or something by you, this does get messy because sometimes the milk spray doesn't always go where you carefully aim it.
