So I had an OB appt on the 28th. he sent me down to get the GD test done and a protein test since I had PIH last pregnancy. So that was 2 weeks ago. As of this morning I hadn't heard anything.

So last week I get a call from a nurse who said she had my test results back. When I called she started rattling off my throat culture and flu test results. I haven't had a throat culture in YEARS... come to find out she's reading test results for the WRONG PATIENT...

So this morning I called the doc looking for my GD results (2 weeks is a long time to wait). She said that they usually give you the results at your next appt if it's fine, but if I wanted I could have a nurse call me back. I opted for the call back, afterall, who's to say they didn't call the wrong patient again.

So I get the call from the nurse regarding my test results... she goes through my throat culture and flu tests... again I have to correct her. My protein test came back fine, but low and behold I failed my 1 hour glucose test. GRRR. My appt isn't for another 2 weeks... so I'm just going to walk around possibly having GD and no knowledge of it??

So now I get to take Carrie to the hosp with me for 3 hours. I'm sure that's going to be fun, but I'm getting irritated that they seem so imcompetant up there. I've been insanely dizzy, tired, and dehydrated for the last few weeks... could this be a sign of GD??

Gosh, that's really frustrating. I'd be questioning all my test results too, worried that they were reading the wrong patient again! That is ridiculous.

On another note, I'm sorry to hear you failed your 1 hour and I hope that you pass your 3 hour. Good luck and keep us updated.

It's not just army doctors, mine gave me the wrong reading for my last iron test. Honestly, I'd think being dizzy and tired would be low blood sugar, but I'm not sure. I know when I eat the wrong thing I can get really tired and shaky.

How frustrating! Glad you're taking your health into your own hands though and getting answers and results!

Grrrrr!!! That's so frustrating! I'm glad you got your test results...go ahead and look up some dietary changes you can make now and maybe you'll feel better without having to wait on your 3hr test just in case.
