Hi Guys, updating for Shannon/LadyCoconut.
She wrote at about 4:30 my time, so 5:30 her time, headed to the hospital- here is what her text said.

Ben and I are up. May be going in soon. Lost plug with lots of streaks of blood. Tons of pressure coming every 3-5 mins. Gonna call OB if this keeps up

Haven't slept, OB said to call when they get this close for an hour. I'ts been 30 mins so far
Tried to sleep and one woke me up. Don't think this is going to wear off, Pretty consistent

As of right now, she's not at hospital yet, but getting stuff together and getting ready to call

She might update before she leaves her house, but otherwise, I'll try and post more when I hear it!

Update #2
Ok some more updates

She hit pretty regular contractions before leaving (she left about an hour after I posted, and sent a picture which I need to get off my phone to post here, so cute)

She had trouble getting through to the doc's hotline to ask if she could come in, but they finally got an answer and they got down to the hospital

She was at 4-5 cm this morning around 7am, so about 3 hours after I posted, and just after she got there, so by her basic first check, she was at 5 cm

90% Effaced

IV in to start Magnesium at 8am for blood pressure, she's shaking alot, and that was about 30 mins ago

I am headed out to work but should be home in next few hours, so I'll have more updates when I get back!

I lied, she already wrote before I left for work

Had to use catheter, won't even let her up to pee cause they are afraid of a seizure due to High BP, BP not going down with the mag and laying on her left side, about to break her water

So the awesome thing, like you guys already know, is that Lily is here! No pain meds, and no pitocin, only the mag
She's 7 pounds, 8 ounces, 19.5 inches

However Shan's Blood Pressure is still up and she is having post delivery bleeding, for the last 4 hours after Lily was born. They've finally given her some pain meds for that, she's pretty loopy, but she is breastfeeding fine and has done it a few times

Ben said he almost passed out when she was pushing!

She said the worst part of it all has been the complications after birth. Ben said she pushed for a very short time once they got to that phase

So we are hoping for the bleeding to stop very soon

Update

So Shannon had Lily about 12 hours ago, but she's still in recovery at this point, and will probably get a blood transfusion in the morning. She's also developing a fever

Its morning, Shannon just now moved to a real room but still no shower or removal of catheter cause of high BP and still bleeding. I think it's down just a bit, because they finally let her have a real room

Lily hasn't left their sight, has 4 meconium diapers, but the drugs have been making her loopy

No visitors yet since she's been in recovery this whole time, but I think immediate family dropped by- she said her Mom was there but she couldn't even focus her eyes cause of the meds

I asked about the blood transfusion, waiting to hear more

I had a feeling she was gonna be in labor when I woke up, so I got on here first thing to see, and what do ya know? lol Poor Shannon! Hopefully they got her bp to come down. Good luck! I'll be thinking of you!
