Just wondering since our babies will be having their six month checkups. I believe that they will offer a H1N1 vaccination to infants six months or older. Will anyone be getting one for their baby? I am SO on the fence about it. I did get vaccinated myself when I was pregnant- for some reason I just feel like I want to but a little hesitant. This is one I really have to think about.

Not doing it. I'm only doing the common/recommended vaccines....no optional ones.

Jenna isn't exposed to a lot of people. She's not in daycare yet and won't be for a while so I don't think it's necessary.

Not sure, I will have to talk with her pedi. I did get it when I was pregnant. She is not in daycare but I do go to a mom's group with kids that do go to daycare. Something to think about.

No way! And after reading some vaccination books, I am so mad I got the regular flu shot when I was pregnant. Oh well....I can't change it now

Considering Major has been sick in one way or another about 7 times since entering daycare at 8 weeks old, I am strongly considering it.

No. I didn't get it & declined it for my boys. Our Pedi really, really pushed it on me to get it for the boys, but I just wasn't 100% comfortable w/ it and didn't want to be bullied into it.

I am not sure. I think if it is offered that I will...... I got it and the regular while pregnant. I just worry the alternative ( possibly her getting h1n1 ) would do more damage.... I am going to research!!!

I hate vaccine talk! UGH!!! I hate researching it, thinking about it, deciding on it. Blech. It stresses me out to no end.
I totally forgot that babes can get the H1N1 at 6 month, so I know our dr will bring this up next month! Ugh.
It's a no-go here for the H1N1.

I wonder, since it isn't flu season, if they will even offer it. I don't know. This is such a tough call for me. It was recommended by the nurses that we get the kids vaccinated, but the dr said since she stays home, and the kids do too, that it wasn't necessary. It's scary though, because illness could be much worse for Nannie than for the regular heart healthy babe...hmmmmm..gotta think about it.

I don't think it will be brought up right now either - and I don't think I'd get it right now if it was. Parker will most likely be getting a flu shot later in the year and I believe (at least last year it was claimed) that this years seasonal shot will include h1n1, so if thats the case he'll probably end up with it.
I also haven't heard anything about h1n1 in a while.

We'll get it in the fall, when flu season starts. Especially, since I plan on getting pregnant again this winter.
