I wish... Lily just rolls over and tries to escape. She's been doing this since 3 months old with the rolling... it makes diaper changing a total PITA, and if someone else is home we usually make it a 2 person job. ... someoen to try to hold her down or entertain her. We even tried a 'diaper changing only' toy to keep her preoccupred and she just wanted to roll over to play/look at it

Madison's normally pretty good about getting her diaper changed and only sometimes she tries to roll over. She's recently started grabbing at herself when her diaper is off though.

That would scare me to death if Madison did that. I'd be afraid she'd fall off.

Hi girl moms!!!!
Violet is pretty good about being still for diaper changes... I sing a goofy song and she sings back, but she does the occassional tuck and roll!!!!!

She stood up by herself yesterday for like 7 seconds! I thought she was going to walk and I was gonna crap myself

EEEEEK! I cannot believe our babies are big enough to be standing and starting to walk... does that make them TODDLERS?! I'm not ready!

A week or so ago Lily stood not holding onto anything other than a magazine for approx 20 seconds. I was horrified... thankfully it seems to be a fluke cause she hasn't done it again for that long, lol.

On the one hand I am totally thankful she's developing 'normally' ... but on the other hand I just want her to stay my tiny little bug forever!

Aleeya is good for diaper changes as long as you say "Don't rolly poly!" She seems to know that means she needs to lay still. Sometimes she gets cranky during diaper changes, but that's only when it's close to feeding time.

PS. Bekki, I have been to tell you that I am happy you have decided to reproduce again. I was looking at your facebook again yesterday, and you make really adorable babies.

lol you girls are too funny. Like as if I'm not on here enough..now I have to make SURE i'm available so we can beat the moms of boys!!!

It's a challenge everytime I have to change her diaper! As SOON as the diaper is open, she grabs herself and when I try to wipe her, she resists and "closes" her buttcheeks so I can't clean her properly. And when I finally get everything cleaned up and get ready to close her diaper, she twists and turns and tries to sit up.

Anyone using the straps/safety belt on their changing table? Are you still using the changing table or do you change them where ever possible?

I don't use the strap. I am a get in and get out fast kinda changer haha
I do still use the changing table, I don't think I have ever changed her anywhere else when we are at home....

btw I hate the mail polish we have at school!!!!!!! It has a smell to it, that I can smell everytime I bring my hand to my face! eeeewww

What's mail polish????

I'm like you....I only change her on her changing table. Rarely anywhere else in the house. I've never used the straps. I figure by the time I get her all tied up, I would have been done! lol

But I feel like I'm taking a risk every time I change her because I quickly run to the bathroom next door to throw away her diaper and wash my hands but I can see her through the mirror and if I see she attemps to sit up, I yell "no" and she lays right back.

It is actually hair and esthetics. So nails, facials, waxing, etc.
