.....will your baby have one with his/her name on it?
Do you and DH have stockings of your own?
Do you have your name on them or do they say "Mom" and "Dad"?

I have a stocking that is HUGE, like 3 or 4 feet that someone knitted me when I was little. It has rudolph and my name on it. Its still at my mom's house and gets filled there. DH and I have cheapie stockings, I think maybe this year I'll buy mom & dad ones
I'd love to get Lily a nice stocking like mine that she will have for years... hopefully someone on here will post links to etsy stores or something so I don't have to do too much work lol

We each have our own stocking. It doesn't have our names on it but they're all different and suit our personalities. DD had one with a teddy bear on santa's sleigh on it until she picked out her own a couple of years ago. I'll probably give Eli DD's old one until he's old enough to pick out his own.

I've been thinking about this too. I've looked on etsy some but just don't have the money this year to buy us all new stockings for that price. But, I really want everyone to have stockings with their name on them that kind of match like I did when I was a kid.
So far the only ones I've found for a decent price are these:
Snow Cap Stockings
or
Knit Argyle/Snowflake Stockings
But, I don't know if they are going to look cheap when they come so I haven't yet settled on buying them.
I'm also worries when I have the next kid that these will be out of production and I won't be able to find something that matches everyone elses. But, I know if I buy one for Connor now I'm going to get sentimental about it and not want to change it later. So, I'm thinking I better just go ahead and get us all good ones now.
Come on ladies, hasn't any of you found a good deal yet?????

right now, we each have one that matches our personality (DH is a Florida Gators stocking...and i really cant remember what mine is. thats sad.) but this year, i'm starting from scratch. i cant decided whether i want all matching stockings, with our names on them (btw...ours will say "mom" & "dad", or "mommy" & "daddy"....not Heather & Tim) or unique ones for each of us.
i'm leaning toward matching ones with our names on them.

Ours have our names on them. Hubby's is just a store-bought with his name written in glittery glue. My grandmother made mine, as she made one for my brothers and parents. My parents all had their names on theirs. Which was probably a good thing, because who wants "Stepmom" written on their stocking?
Kelen has a Tigger one for this year, but I'd really like to make him a stocking like mine. I'd like all matching stockings, but I don't think hubby wants to give his up.
Here's a picture of our stockings:

DH and I have have our own stockings with our names on them. I would like to get 'Mom' and 'Dad' ones though.
Jude doesn't have a stocking yet.

We've got 2 bean bag chairs and 2 body pillows for the deep part, and left the first step as is. He's fallen in a few times, and crawled out a few times, but has only fallen into the pillows once. He's learned to navigate around the pit fairly well, and rarely falls in anymore. Unfortunately, he's kinda forgotten how to get back out!

My MIL made ours, I picked out the patterns when I went to visit her in May. They say Mommy and Daddy on them, the boys also have their own with their names on them. I can't really remember the patterns I picked though LOL They are pretty big too, like 2 feet long

No Christmas = no stockings
I think they are cute nonetheless!! How did that tradition start anyway? What is the purpose behind the stockings if everyone already gets gifts? Curious
