I can't believe my baby can talk! Today we were out shopping and Connor was sitting in the cart. A lady walked by and said hi to Connor. He immediately says "hi" and starts waving at her!! The "hi" isn't totally clear so I said hi to him and he says it right back to me and then waves at me ! Now he's done it several times throughout the day when I say it to him first.

So, I guess this counts as his first word???? I can't believe my baby is growing up but at the same time I'm proud of him. Funny, but my first word was "hi there" at 9 months.

Any other talking babies out there?

Audrey just recently started saying "Hi!" too. It happened the same way it did with Connor. We were in a store and a lady walked by, said "Hi!" and waved. Audrey returned with a wave and a "Hi!" I was floored. She has done it several times since then. My family SWEARS that she says doggy and Audrey. I will admit it does sound a lot like she is saying it but I think its more like she is mimicking the sound the words make and not actually saying the words. KWIM?

Mia has been saying HI, Mom Dad but not knowing what they mean, she is still just making the sounds with no reference to a person or thing yet.

That's so awesome!!!!!

I don't think Jude will be an early talker AT ALL. I bet he'll be a late talker for sure. He only babbles. (well, he says Dada, but that's it.)

Wow!!! Totally a proud moment! Try to record it next time...would be a nice memory to show him later!

Jenna babbles...A LOT. She definately says baba (which is daddy in arabic) and dadda (which is "person"...so anyone she sees, it's "dadda")...

But no real worlds yet She's weird like that lol...she's still gummy but almost walking!

WTG Conner!

Madison says 'bye bye', 'mama', 'dada', 'baby', 'bite' and we're working on 'bubba'. Can you tell she's good with her 'b's? All this started by her just saying the b sound and then she started with bye bye then baby then bite.

Norah says bubba for bottle, mama, and daddah. She is starting to mimic things on occassion. She said kitty after I repeated to her but she doesn't associate any other words other than bottle, mom, and dad. WTG Connor!
