I'd love to hear what kind of food you're making for your LO's birthday, or any appetizer-type recipes you have to share!

I do those but with a canned asparagus stalk in it... you take a piece of lunchmeat ham, spread cream cheese over it, lay the asparagus in the middle, roll it up and then cut into bite-size pieces... it sounds like such a weird flavor combo but its delicious!
I also do cream cheese and salsa roll ups... take a block of softened cream cheese and mix with salsa ... I mix until its a certain shade of pink and tastes how I like it, lol and then spread it on soft tortillas, wrap them up and cut them into bite -sized pieces.

I was considering making my broccoli quiche but hadn't considered doing little like mini-muffin sized ones. here's the recipe for that:
Broccoli Quiche’
1 cup chopped broccoli
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped green pepper
1 cup shredded cheese
-Boil broccoli in water for 5 minutes; drain.
-mix above ingredients and put in greased 10” pie pan
Mix the following & blend well:
1 ½ cup milk
¾ cup Bisquick
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
-Pour into pan and bake at 400 for 40 minutes.
& a pic from the last time I made it:

Mine sound so unhealthy compared to the rest. Maybe because they involve bacon? Lol.
Poppers. Jalapeno peppers cleaned out and stuffed with cream cheese or cheddar and wrapped with a piece of bacon and baked until the bacon is cooked. Yum.
This sounds weird but it is sooo good. Get wienies and cut them into bite-size pieces and wrap bacon around them. Put a tooth pick in them and spread them in a cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and bake. So weird but sooooo good.
I've done the rolls before with tortillas, cream cheese, and ham. Yum.
Always good with meat balls and little smokies in bbq sauce or the meatballs in a sweet n sour sauce.
Celery with cream cheese or peanut butter.
Mmmm. I'm hungry.

Appetizer Meatballs
2 bags frozen precooked meatballs (2 lbs total)
1 can Cranberry Sauce
1 Jar chili sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
In a saucepan, add cranberry sauce or cranberry jelly with chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Heat on medium, stirring ingredients until combined.
In a separate baking dish, place thawed meatballs, add the cranberry sauce, and bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
Remove meatballs and sauce, placing the contents into a slow cooker, a chafing dish, or a similar heated pot to keep the meatballs warm as they are placed on the table for serving.
I made them for Christmas day and they were sooooo good. I think there were only 8 little meatballs left at the end of the day.

LOVING this thread!!!! Shannon, that cream cheese and salsa tortilla thing sounds YUMMY!! Shoot, everything sounds yummy
The best contribution I have to this thread is a fruit dip that is sooooo simple and soooo delicious. A jar of marshmallow fluff and a stick (8 oz I think) of cream cheese. Melt the cream cheese and mix both ingredients together....makes the yummiest fruit dip
I was going to just do pizzas for Colin's birthday, but you ladies may have inspired me. These recipes you're posting sound so easy and not expensive either!

I usually serve hot artichoke dip:
14oz can of artichoke hearts, chopped
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan
1 cup mayonnaise
1 garlic clove, minced
dash of lemon juice
Mix it all together and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
Or I'll serve cream cheese and hot red pepper jelly. I just put a brick of cream cheese on a serving plate and pour red pepper jelly over top of it.
I serve both of these with crackers, toasted pita (the thin ones), fresh veggies and tortilla chips.
Then I add a veggie plate, a meat and cheese plate, some rolls and condiments and sometimes I buy puff pastry pre-made appies.

The cream cheese and ham.. we made these as breadsticks... buy the Betty Crocker breadsticks, break them in half, makes 12 so you will have 24.
-Cook until light brown.
-In the mean time take honey or virgina baked ham sliced thin and cover lightly with cream cheese
- As soon as breadsticks are done, use a spacula a bump off tray or they will stick. Wrap with ham and then right before you want to serve them put in the oven to warm everything up... the ham and cheese get warm and they are DELISH!!!!
You can also shred up carrots and celery finely and add to the cream cheese to add some veggies to it....
