I am! I am! I just need to find someone to go with. I prefer to go with someone who read the book, but most of those people live at least 2 hours away. SO I don't have a "When" yet.

I am.. I'm not sure when it comes to our base though. We're usually a week or two behind on movies. I'm not sure who I'll go with.. maybe DH if we can find a sitter.

Probably not right now...haven't read the books yet, and I want to do that first. So maybe it depends on how quickly I can read them! LOL

What's the premise? I think DH read the book and probably told me but I don't remember. I'm not much of a reader but with ALL the hype, I might read this one. As long as it's not about vampires and werewolves.

I am having a Hunger Games party for my 16 year old daughter. I can't find any party supplies! I could get some regular cups and things and try to dress them up, but !!!! i am frustrated. I have the food and all planned out, no plates and things. They have plates and cups for every character from tv that ever was invented. This is the hottest thing going right now, and NOTHING! A little help ladies?
Oh, and I cannot WAIT to go see this movie. The book were great!

i havent read the books, but like nicole, because of all the hype, i just might.

They are really great books. I have to say I have never read a book with a story line quite like this one. They were very interesting.

Hi MomsyDearest... can we get an intro? Do you have a January 2010 baby?
My mom and I are goign tongiht to the midnight showing and then DH and I will go on Saturday I think. They've both read the trilogy and are pretty excited to go.
Nicole -- the books are written for YA so they're very short/easy reads. I re-read all three books last week while on spring break. Anyway it takes place in the future, in what is the US but a different country, obviously. Basically in the country of Panem there are 12 districts and then the Capitol. 75 years prior, there was this big rebellion and so now the Capitol invented "The Hunger Games" so the districts can never forget what happened. Each year there is a reaping of one boy and one girl from each distrcit, aged 12-18 and they go into the arena and fight to the death... and its all televised and a very big event that the districts are forced to participate in. There's a lot of political undertones and its interesting b/c its in the future so they have tons of crazy technology, BUT b/c the districts are so poor they're like starving and mostly without electricity... so there's just a lot of survival stuff to it too. And of course a bit of a love story, though not a traditional love story by any means.

I probably won't see the movie until it comes out on DVD, but I just bought the book today and hope to read it!

I'm so excited to see it - I can go this weekend by myself (boo) - or can wait until my Mom is here next weekend and maybe she'll watch Savannah so we can go on date.
