DH has a friend who has fertility issues (with his wife obviously).
Tried several IVF and even though she only the last one worked (she got pg several times but always lost the babies at 12 weeks the latest).

So, they are pg now. 24 weeks along.
At the 20 week anatomy scan everything looked fine. She had another u/s and they told her the organs in the middle section are at the same level they were 4 weeks ago, whereas the rest of the body kept growing as expected.

So does anyone know anything about this?
I have no idea what to tell them. Never heard of such a thing.

If you have heard or know anything, can you pls let me know?
I hate that something may be wrong they have been waiting for this baby for years and it´s their first.

Thanks girls

For me personally, u/s aren't always right.

Are they going to do a repeat u/s soon?

Ya. Idk how much weight I would put in to just one u/s. I would worry if the same thing was showing after several u/s. They told me they thought Audrey had a 2 vessel cord at her anatomy u/s and when I went back 2 weeks later, it had 3 vessels. Also, I had a level 2 or 3 u/s with my peri that said she was 7lbs 10oz at like 36 or 37 Weeks and I delivered her 3 or 4 Weeks later and she weighed 7lbs 10 Oz.

But for the record, I've never heard of what you are describing.

Sorry for the typos...I'm on my phone.

She's having another u/s at the end of the week.
I looked online and all I could find was "asymmetrical IUGR" asthe closest diagnosis.

She's on Heparin and has been since the beginning of her pregnancy (that's why she kept losing the babies, she has a blood problem but can't remember the name for it).

She's on bedrest for now and they'll see how it evolves.
I don't know what to say to comfort her I feel such an idiot... I never know what to say but I'm worried for them and hoping for the best...

Ditto!!

We had a huge scare during my pregnancy and it ended up being an error with the us tech not measuring everything correctly. They said katelyns abdominal region wasn't growing portion to the rest of her body. They even referred me to a specialist out of our state. I left that appoint in tears and actually got so upset that my hyperememesis got worst over the next few days and placed me in the hospital. At the hospital they did more test and a day later which was Christmas Eve I got the best gift ever--- a mistake on the first us.
I will say some prayers for them
