How would you react in a 9.0 earthquake with your 2 year old in your lap? Freak-out? Calm? Cry?

^ I totally was thinking of that mom in that video last night---thinking if the tornadoes were close to us and we had to wake the kids up, I would not show a BIT of fear in front of the kids.

DH and I CANNOT talk about tornadoes in front of Ava. She gets sooo nervous.

Didn't watch the clip but when Jenna was about 6 mths we had a 5.1 earthquake and I was home alone with her. I was changing her diaper and felt her table shake a little and I thought it was just a big truck passing in a nearby construction zone. When the frames on the wall started to shake, it kinda hit me that it was an earthquake and I totally panicked. I literrally made 360 turns like 3 times just trying to figure out what to do! Ended up calling DH while crying and by that time it stopped! Omg it was so freaky!

I think Jenna picked up on my fear too.

I don't know how I would react in an earthquake. I would probably freak the f**** out!!! Since I've never been in one. But with tornadoes I can keep a very calm exterior even if I am panicked on the inside.

Probably the same for me. We rarely have earthquakes here.
