Just out of curiousity, how many GLUE STICKS were on your kid's school supply list this year?

I ask b/c my other group of girls is talking about this and I am ASTONISHED by the amount. How they can use that many glue sticks is seriously beyond me!

I think one year Daryn needed 12. It's ridiculous. I think sometimes, though, you're subsidizing the kids who's families can't afford them because I remember halfway through the year being asked for even more school supplies and being shocked that they ran out after buying as much as I had. Also, she wouldn't necessarily be using her own supplies in the younger grades and they were shared.

We homeschool so obviously we don't follow a list, but my friend's son here is starting Kindergarten and they need 14 per semester!! How can one child use 28 glue sticks in about 9 months?!

I have noticed over the years that they tend to dry out super fast. I don't know if the littler kids don't put the caps on tight enough but ?!?

I don't know if we have the same type of glue sticks, ours is Pritt Stick, the one where you take the cap off rub it on and then just stick the cap back on, its white solid glue?????? Im asking because we only have to get 1, and seeing as you all need 12-14 im wondering do we have the same glue.

Only 3.............but they have to bethe .77 oz and NOT purple. THe only 3 pack of .77 oz glue sticks are PURPLE. So if you buy the large .77 oz (largest glue stick) individually it's $2 a piece, so $6 for 3 glue sticks. They sell a dozen pack of the little glue sticks.

I got Ava's twistable colored pencils in the MAIL yesterday ha! I did not want to fight the back to school crowds, so I ordered it thru walmart---only .97 to have it delivered. LOve it ha!!

Yes! Same thing!

In my other group the most was 18 per kid! But all of the amounts seemed high to me. It's insane!

We don't have to send glue sticks but we have to send 2 LARGE bottles of Elmer's Glue this year along with a bottle of rubber cement! What in the world are 3rd graders gonna do with rubber cement?!

ETA: Bryce needed 8 LARGE glue sticks and 2 BOTTLES of glue for 4K!

Ethans starts junior kindergarten and we haven't received a supply list. All I have been told is he needs indoor shoes, a backpack, lunch pail and a change of clothes.

4 is what came in out pack. The teacher keeps 3 and they get 1 for their chair back. I would guess a few go to the art classroom. But I assume they dry out and get lost. They send them home at the end of the year and we use them during the summer.

We haven't gotten a list yet, I *think* this school provides supplies to the kids (I ended up buying a bunch of stuff anyways, just incase), the other school Owen went to did not and we have to bring in 8 glue sticks and 2 things of elmers glue. His teacher ended up asking for glue every other month so i'd buy huge packs and bring it in.

This year I bought each boy a 6 pack of glue to bring in plus a few things of elmers white glue..they didn't ask for anything yet but I know it'll be needed.

Jonah had 2 on his list this year and 4 for previous years. The must be too cool for glue sticks in Middle School because none were on Morgan's list.
